A new 1040 in 2019

The IRS has proposed changes to the 1040 for 2019. There is currently a draft available to be viewed that starts to look a little more like the 2017 forms. Instead of a possible six schedules you could fill out depending on your tax situation, now there are three.

You can view the draft 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/f1040–dft.pdf
Schedule 1: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/f1040s1–dft.pdf
Schedule 2: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/f1040s2–dft.pdf
And Schedule 3: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/f1040s3–dft.pdf

The IRS is currently accepting feedback on the draft forms until August 15th and if you would like to leave any feedback you can do it here: WI.1040.Comments@IRS.gov.
