As more Minnesotans have been getting the COVID-19 vaccine and active cases decline, Governor Walz has announced a tentative timeline to end many of the restrictions. The updated timeline looks as follows:
May 7th: Limits imposed for outdoor events have been removed. Outdoor mask order has been removed except at venues with more than 500 people. Early closing times for bars & restaurants has also been lifted.
May 28th: Any remaining outdoor limits and indoor activity restrictions will end.
July 1st: The state’s mask mandate will end. This date is tentative and could end sooner if the state’s vaccination goal of 70 percent of people ages 16+ has been reached.
